In 2021, the management of Harold Scholz & Co. GmbH once again planned an initiative that would allow the entire workforce to get actively involved while doing something good together. Our 212 employees were asked to submit ideas and projects located within 20 kilometers of our company sites that were worthy of support.
Everyone was encouraged to donate and to invite family and friends to join in. Through the Rudolf Scholz Foundation, Scholz kicked things off with a €5,000 donation and, in some cases, matched the donations received.
A total of €19,099.82 was raised, which will be distributed to the following organizations. The Datteln Children's Palliative Care Center took first place in the vote and will receive €5,729.95. The "Hoffnung schenken" (Giving Hope) project in Neustadt/Erlach will receive €4,774.96. €3,819.96 will go to the Datteln Children's Hospital. The "Arche" in Herne will receive €1,909.98. The Herne Women's Shelter will receive a donation of €954.99. The Peter Vischer Elementary School will be able to build up its library with €954.99. "Hecki’s Grill," also known as the "Spatzenfalle" in Suderwich, will be able to provide €954.99 worth of vouchers to customers of the Recklinghausen food bank.
