What are pigment preparations?

Our pigment preparations include — similar to liquid paint/slurry — solid substances (pigments) finely distributed in water. Their proportions and the use of certain additives may vary depending on the pigment and the intended use or the medium to be colored. The aim of these resulting pigment pastes is to provide our customers with a ready-to-use and well-dispersed form of pigment that is not only easy to dose, but also enables particularly uniform coloring and high-quality results.

Strong colorants as pigment paste

In doing so, we ensure efficient pigmentation thanks to high color strength: Even with sensitive mixed shades, we guarantee tight color tolerances and easy coloring during use. The high color strength of our pigment preparations also guarantees the desired results with the lowest possible use of colorants.

Since the color pigments have already been dispersed in pigment preparations, the extensive dispersion effort is unnecessary in order to achieve full color strength, especially when using organic pigments. In addition, the use of pigment pastes in comparison with the use of powders eliminates the formation of dust in some cases. Thanks to the optimally adjusted viscosity, dosing when coloring with our pigment preparations is also significantly easier.
