Colouring concrete and screed requires not only an aesthetic sense, but also technical know-how and the right products. Our flooring solutions are based on various binder bases to provide the right product for every application. These include classic, cement-bound floor leveling materials as well as self-leveling calcium sulfate-based floating screeds, which are particularly popular due to their low tendency to shrinkage.
Unwanted effects such as irregular cloud formation or whitening effects are a particular challenge when colouring cement-bound products, particularly when dark pigments such as black iron oxides are used. These phenomena are caused by the complex interaction between cement, pigment particles and PCE.

When using steel reinforcement in screed, special pigments are required in accordance with EN 12878 Category B.
