Sustainability report 2022

For over 120 years, everything at Harold Scholz & Co. GmbH has revolved around color. On the one hand, this is an achievement in itself; on the other hand, as a fourth-generation family company, we also see it as an obligation for the future, for our employees, for our shareholders and, of course, for our environment and the community in which we live.

When preparing our first sustainability report, we discussed the concept of sustainability with many colleagues in a workshop. From our point of view, the topic of sustainability cannot be developed and responsible for by a department or team in our company. Each individual employee plays their part in their responsibility. Accordingly, the action and the report derived from this concern all Scholzians.

We wanted to capture all facets. It quickly became clear that we are not just talking about environmental issues and climate neutrality when we mean sustainability. Our commitment to caring for our employees, which has united us for 120 years and is taken for granted by us, is now also given the place it deserves: Economy, ecology and social issues are viewed equally. Economy? Yes, that's right. If our company is not economically successful in the long term, then we are not “sustainable” in the simplest sense. And we want to remain that way for the next 120 years.

How do we do that? Step by step and as a team. Read more about this in our sustainability report.
